SOUTH AREA

This area borders Tokyo Bay and has thrived as a base for transport and trade since ancient times. Shinagawa was especially prosperous as the first lodging area on the Tokaido Road in the Edo period. In modern times as well, it's an access point for Haneda Airport, bullet trains, and various other train lines, and is a major hub for transportation.
The urban landscape stretches out along the waterfront, and there are gourmet and entertainment facilities to enjoy. You can discover a new and charming side of Tokyo here.
