EVENT HISTORY
US distilled spirits Grand Tasting & Presentation
Kanda Myoujin Shrine
In 2019 Japan became the top importer of American Whiskey, with the value of imports to Japan reaching 96 million dollars in 2021, and demand forecast to continue growing.
With the aim of further market development, The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) held a grand tasting in Japan.
At Tokyo Unique Venues, to fulfill the wish for a location with a distinctly Japanese flavor, we proposed the Kanda Myoujin Shrine, which boasts 1300 years since its founding. The event organizers displayed impressive respect for the Japanese aesthetic, with impressive decoration, including a bonsai tree display in front of the stage.
Including exhibitors from America, 15 spirits producers participated in the event, conducting promotion and business meetings at their booths. As an alcohol-tasting event, measures to promote responsible alcohol consumption and prevent the spread of COVID-19 ensured the event was held safely, and the grand tasting came to a successful conclusion.
Kanda Myoujin can accommodate various events, from conferences and exhibitions to concerts. Please feel free to contact us when considering an event at this venue. At Tokyo Unique Venues, we are ready to serve you with our breadth of expertise, from various application procedures to advice during setup.
