SMALL WORLDS TOKYO
Tokyo Ambassadors Night
"Tokyo Ambassadors Night," where Tokyo exchanges information with embassies within the city, was held in person at SMALL WORLDS TOKYO, the world's largest miniature theme park. SMALL WORLDS, located in the Ariake area of Tokyo and using state-of-the-art technology, presents educational content in line with SDGs partnerships in areas like gender quality. The entire building was reserved for the event after opening hours. Ambassadors and other visitors were invited to learn about Tokyo's policies and deepen their understanding of Tokyo's efforts to promote a sustainable recovery while strengthening cooperation with embassies and other organizations in Tokyo.
The information liaison meeting was held in person for the first time in three years. Koike, the governor of Tokyo, welcomed 153 officials, including 88 ambassadors from 103 countries and regions, and they were treated to cuisine featuring Tokyo products, local sake, and performances of Japanese instruments and Kendama(a Japanese game with a ball on a string.).
After the Ambassadors arrived, they were escorted to the 3rd floor where they could enjoy SMALL WORLD's miniatures.
While appreciating the fascinating world of these miniatures created through elaborate engineering, many visitors were seen chatting and enjoying welcome drinks in the lounge set up in the center of the space.
The main part of the event was held in "Restaurant White Art," which has 2 stages and is located on the second 2nd floor.
Governor Koike, along with representative ambassadors from each continent, held a Kagami-wari(sake barrel breaking) ceremony, and guests partook in a buffet that included vegan, vegetarian, and halal-friendly dishes made with Tokyo-sourced ingredients.
