EVENT HISTORY

　At Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, there is the historically important main building, completed in 1933, once the residence of the old imperial family and designated as an important Japanese cultural property, and the modern annex, built to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the museum under the supervision of famous modern artist Hiroshi Sugimoto. The annex is available for business events and was chosen for the appointment only Capsule Collection/TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance 2023 Press Conference.

　

　In the lobby of the annex, a video weaving a story through music and voice was displayed via a giant screen, and huge windows created a feeling of unity with the greenery outside enveloping the participants. This provided an impressive backdrop for the presentation of "Uni-ssentials," New Balances's original concept transcending age and gender.

"The concept we wanted to communicate and this venue blended perfectly with our viewpoint, and we felt this was the only place to express it," commented the filmmaker, Soshi Nakamura. The message was enhanced by the unique and otherworldly atmosphere of the venue.

In the café, the Capsule Collection line of athletic wear was displayed, unrestricted by traditional categories of men, women, and age. Visitors listened attentively to explanations as they inspected the displayed materials and colors.
Additionally, drinks were also on offer in the front garden.
