EVENT HISTORY

　On January 20, 2026, the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted the Unique Venue Showcase Event at KidZania Tokyo. At the showcase event, KidZania Tokyo, normally a theme park where children can try out various job experiences, was opened after hours and transformed to showcase the appeal of unique venues for corporate events under the theme "experiential events welcoming delegate partners and accompanying persons".

　Once the theme park was closed for the day, equipment load-in, setup, rehearsals, and other preparations were completed within just three hours before doors opened. Participants were then welcomed with drinks and live music, while being guided by street performers to the central plaza. Vivid visuals illuminated the LED panels, firework-inspired patterns were projected across the ceiling, and colorful lighting washed over the surrounding cityscape, creating a vibrant atmosphere through the seamless blend of video, lighting, and sound.

　Following the opening, participants experienced KidZania Tokyo's signature hands-on work programs inside the various job establishments. The event also featured Tokyo's rich cuisine with dishes prepared using locally sourced ingredients, along with beverages produced in Hachijojima, a small island of Tokyo, and the nature-rich Okutama area. As participants collaborated in the many work roles available, natural conversations emerged over the delicious food and drinks.

Toward the end of the showcase, participants donned glowing lanyards and Unique Venue flags, joining a full-venue parade while pulling a radiant rainbow-lit festival float through the facility. The celebration concluded with a dynamic stage performance featuring a live ensemble and street entertainers. The Showcase demonstrated how unique venues can be leveraged to create high-impact business events that foster meaningful networking and engagement.
