Furoshiki Workshop Experience and Networking at Hama-rikyu Gardens
On January 27, 2026, a Unique Venue Utilization Seminar, organized by the Unique Venue One-Stop Consultation Desk, was held at Hama-rikyu Gardens. The seminar provided domestic and international industry professionals with hands-on experience of practical venue applications and event production ideas for unique venues.
The venue for the seminar was Hobai-tei(Japanese-style house)located within the gardens. Although situated in central Tokyo, the space is surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil scenery, making it an attractive setting that can create a special atmosphere for business events.
The seminar program included a Furoshiki wrapping workshop, a stroll through the garden, presentations on how unique venues and consultation services can be utilized, as well as a networking session for participants.
Seasonal floral arrangements featuring plum blossoms and camellias were displayed in the alcove and entrance area, alongside the works created during the furoshiki workshop, adding color to the space. The venue layout was carefully arranged so that all 19 participants could sit and work comfortably, creating a calm and relaxed environment.
During the discussion session, participants and representatives from the consultation desk shared insights highlighting the strong appeal of unique venues. They noted that hosting events in such spaces creates a special atmosphere and leaves a stronger impression than using a standard meeting room. Participants also commented that unique venues offer a rare sense of exclusivity, as they allow events to take place in locations that are typically not open to the public.
