The Sumida Hokusai Museum

The new Sumida Hokusai Museum opened in 2016 in Ryogoku, the birthplace and home of the famous ukiyo-e, Japanese woodblock print artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). Close to the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Stadium, the museum’s contemporary architecture is striking. After viewing Hokusai’s ukiyo-e works in the exhibition galleries, guests can enjoy cocktails in the MARUGEN 100 reception hall. The Foyer on the third floor is available for events such as private exhibitions.
