The Japanese Sword Museum

As much a work of art as it is a symbol of samurai culture, the Japanese sword has been venerated since ancient times as far more than just a weapon. This sword museum, designed by Japan’s leading Modernist architect, Fumihiko Maki, opened in Ryogoku in January 2018, and overlooks the Yasuda Garden. The cafe space and lecture hall are available for events, and your guests will gain a rare insight into Japanese sword culture and an appreciation of these precious works of art.
